MGCB Orders 15 Illegal Gambling Sites to Stop Michigan Operations

On August 14, 2025, the MGCB ordered 15 illegal gambling sites to stop serving Michigan immediately.

The agency issued formal letters to operators that targeted residents without being licensed by the state. Regulators said the sites must shut off Michigan access at once or face more action with the Attorney General.

The board also pointed players to its “Legal vs. Illegal Gaming” page and the “Play It Smart, Michigan” campaign for guidance about safe play.

What the Order Says and Who is Affected

Executive Director Henry Williams said unlicensed operators offer “zero player protections” and put consumers at risk. The orders are cease-and-desist notices that tell each site to stop taking bets from Michigan or face the law.

The 15 named sites are:

  • 7 Bit Casino
  • Avia Games Inc.
  • Grande Vegas Casino
  • High Country Casino
  • i Net Bet
  • Liberty Slots Casino
  • Lincoln Casino
  • Lucky Hippo Casino
  • Miami Club Casino
  • PrimaPlay Casino
  • Slot Madness
  • Slots Plus Casino
  • Sun Palace Casino
  • Vegas Casino Online
  • Vegas2Web Casino

The list covers a mix of casino-style games and other gambling products. None of these brands are approved to operate in Michigan.

Under state law, only MGCB-licensed brands can offer online casino or sportsbook apps in Michigan. Licensed operators undergo independent testing, comply with strict rules, and provide responsible gambling tools.

Unlicensed sites are not audited by the state, which can increase risks such as delayed payouts, data misuse, or unfair game math.

The board said noncompliant sites could face more enforcement if they continue targeting Michigan players. The goal is to protect consumers, preserve a fair market, and support operators who follow the law. The action also warns other offshore groups that Michigan will not tolerate unlicensed gambling.

What Michigan Players Should Do

If you bet online, stick with licensed online casino in Michigan. Before you deposit, check the MGCB’s Legal operator lists to confirm a casino or sportsbook is approved in Michigan. If you see a suspicious site, report it. The MGCB asks residents to call 1-888-314-2682 or email MIGamblingTip@michigan.gov with tips.

Watch out for fake ads on social platforms that push offshore brands or “too good to be true” bonuses. The agency’s “Play It Smart” campaign explains common red flags and offers quick ways to confirm a site is legal. Remember: legal sites must verify age and location, publish terms clearly, and provide tools to set limits or get help.

This action continues Michigan’s crackdown in 2025. In July, the MGCB announced 19 additional letters against suspected illegal operators as part of a broader push. The message remains clear: follow the law or leave the market. For players, the bottom line is simple: choose legal sites and avoid the rest.
